All of my paintings describe harmonies between the organic and artificial: flesh and plastic, image and pattern, mechanism and animal, verbose and dumb. Just as man today cannot say for sure whether he is closer to the dirt than the pavement, my paintings don’t make an exclusive case for either reckless passion or logical for-thought, for both must be present to engage a self-conscious human mind. My paintings express an un-biased fascination with the legacy of modernism, and an esoteric voice for the fugue of contemporary painting.
I have no use for a linear view of history.
I make the images I want to see.
